About CSE

The CSE department was started with 40 seats in 1998-99 and increased to 240 in the academic year 2012-2013. The department strives for global excellence in teaching and focus on research and technology development. The department of Computer Science and Engineering has a vibrant body of faculty with 55 in number . The main objective of the department is to provide a platform in which the stake holders acquires knowledge about the advanced emerging technologies. Department has several MOU’s with industry and academia. Continuous interactions with the industry that helps our students to brace themselves to absorb into the industry and higher studies abroad.

  • To prepare the students to identify, formulate and solve critical Computer Science Engineering problems.
  • To impart professional skills and train the students for immediate employment and enlighten them about higher studies in Computer Science and Engineering as well as related disciplines.
  • To strengthen the students with leadership qualities along diverse career paths.
  • To develop interest for inter disciplinary studies and prepare them to apply the skills to solve the social and human problems.
  • Engineering Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, computing, science, electrical and electronics engineering.
  • Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences
  • Design / Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations./li>
  • The Engineer and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  • Environment and Sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  • Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice./li>
  • Individual and Team Work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
